An exhibition by the Design Department of the Faculty of Arts and Design at Vilnius College, presenting experiments in the design of contemporary folk chairs inspired by Lithuanian gardens and the symbolic and structural principles of the nation’s heritage. Traditional spatial structures are interpreted here through the language of contemporary design, shifting from symbol to function, from hanging to holding. The exhibition features visualizations, designs, and scale models (1:5) that reveal the relationship between tradition, form, material, and the body.
