Exhibition "Tadas Baginskas. Design counterpoints"

2026-06-01 – 2026-06-08

Arsenalo g. 3a, Vilnius

The exhibition “Tadas Baginskas. Design Counterpoints” is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of architect and designer Tadas Baginskas. Spanning six decades, Baginskas’s work includes furniture and lighting objects, interior design projects, exhibition design solutions, and examples of graphic design and architectural drawings. Baginskas created using the most diverse materials: from wood, metal, glass, and amber to rare gemstones. However, the central focus of his work was not individual objects, but rather an approach to design as a systematic process connecting creators, people, and environments. In search of meaningful connections within his creative biography, the term “musical counterpoint” was chosen. The metaphorical significance of counterpoint became particularly important, allowing for a discussion of the duality of existence, the anonymity of design objects, and the interactions and contradictions between different perspectives.
